FUNDRAISER TOOLKIT

A STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO FUNDRAISING FOR THE DRIVEN PROJECT

Whether you’re supporting an event, starting your own page, or joining someone else’s, here is everything you need to raise money for Driven Project

01.

Three Ways to Get Started

Head to engage.drivenproject.org and pick whichever path fits you best

Fundraise For An Event

1

Supporting a specific Driven Project event on the calendar.

Start Your Own (DIY)

2

Fundraising your own way, on your own schedule, not tied to a specific event.

Join An Existing Fundraiser

3

Supporting someone else’s page instead of starting your own.

From There

1

Create your account

Sign up with your name and email. If you’ve fundraised with us before, log in instead; your history carries forward.

2

Personalize your page

Add a profile photo and a short note on why Driven Project matters to you.

3

Set your goal, then seed it

Pick a number that feels a little ambitious, and make the first gift yourself.

02.

What to Include

A few gentle suggestions, not rules, for building a page that connects

A real photo of you

Consider adding a real photo, if you’re comfortable. Supporters tend to connect more with a face they recognize.

A sentence or two on why this matters to you

You don’t need a long story, just something genuine. A few honest words about why you’re fundraising can go further than you’d expect.

A quick explainer of who we are

It can help to include a line like: Driven Project is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that gives critically and chronically ill children the best day of their lives through Supercar Therapy experiences.

A goal, if you'd like one

Setting a specific number is optional, but it can give people a clearer sense of what they’re helping you reach.

The hashtag #KeepDrivingForward

Feel free to include it when you share your page, it helps us find and celebrate your posts.

03.

Sharing Your Page

Your fundraising page has built-in sharing tools right on the page

Each one opens a pre-filled post or message you can personalize before sending

Facebook

Best for reaching extended family, friends, and community groups all at once.

X / Twitter

Good for a quick public push, especially closer to an event date.

Email

Opens a re-written message you can send directly to your personal contacts.

LinkedIn

Effective for reaching colleagues and professional contacts, especially for employer matching.

Grab your page URL directly to paste into a text message or group chat.

In Person

A direct, personal ask is still one of the most effective ways to reach your goal.

Need Graphics?

Grab logos, photos, and social graphics sized for every platform in the Fundraiser Toolkit.

Other Ways To Fundraise

Beyond your own page, a few more ways to get creative

Car Show or Track Day Charity Spot

Car shows and track days often pick one charity to support each year. Since Driven Project already lives in the car community, we’re a natural fit if you know an organizer putting one on.

Dedicate A Rally or Cruise

Any car rally, road trip, or cars-and-coffee cruise can become a fundraiser for Driven Project, just by dedicating it to us and telling people why.

Company Giving Campaigns

Some companies let employees vote on which charity gets support for a giving period, like a holiday drive or payroll deduction campaign. Nominate Driven Project.

Pitch The Corporate Giving Committee

Some companies have a committee that reviews and picks charity partners. If you have a connection there, bring Driven Project’s mission and impact numbers to them.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match donations employees make themselves. Give to Driven Project, then check if your company will match it.

Be The Beneficiary Of A Gala Or Event

Company parties, client events, and galas sometimes pick one charity to support for the night. Suggest Driven Project as that year’s beneficiary.
